Spooktober continues…

Hello Nightwalkers!

We are almost 2 weeks into spooktober and I hope that everyone is having a great one!

A short message from me today for some housekeeping and pondering thoughts.

Firstly, a massive and kind thank you to editor Amanda J. Spedding for a small author spotlight of yours truly.

As I keep saying, I am very proud to be a part of this anthology and am really excited for it’s release, which from what I understand at this moment, will be on Halloween with the first of the physical copies available during Asylum Fest in Beechworth. But don’t take my word for it, inquire with the folks over at Cohesion Press for all the up to date news and how to pre-order/ purchase either physical or digital copies.

While on the subject of Asylum Fest and Beechworth…

I will be returning for the Mayday Hills Ghost Story Competition live readings with yet another attempt at that glorious trophy with my short “The Cards Don’t Lie”.

For more info head over to the website for Australia’s only Horror Pop-Culture Festival and don’t miss out. The community is small but very welcoming and there is lot’s to see and do.

Now back to the Alley….

I have updated the media page, with my selection this time around focusing on a rarely known iteration of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and also old time radio is being led by the completely iconic legend himself…

Boris Karloff.

As for yours truly, I have been enjoying my spooktober doing what I love the most. Listening to old time horror radio with mug of something warm and candles illuminating my surrounds, purring cat in my lap or rather drooling on my shoulder while impaling me with her nails while biscuit-ting. You can take that imagery as the crazy cat lady or mysterious witch in her boudoir. Both are relative.

I have also delved into the world of Shirley Jackson for the first time after multiple recommendations and it has been an interesting journey thus far. I am sure to give feedback eventually, just not today.

The movies have also been rolling and for the most part, I am ticking off titles that I have not seen yet while also going down the rabbit hole of the current season of AHS…. 13…

I reserve my thoughts until we have all watched this and had time to marinate on it and perhaps go in for another one or two watches because let’s be honest, the current season is a mind fuck in more ways than one and the theories and confusion is thick and heavy in my circle.

With that said…

Enjoy your Spooktober and I will be checking in again before the month is out!

S.
